I'm a Visiting Research Fellow at the Katastrophenforschungsstelle (Disaster Research Unit), Freie Universität Berlin, and an International Consultant on Urban Disaster Risk Governance: European Commission, USAID, GIZ, among others. I developed my PhD in Development Planning at the Bartlett Development Planning Unit (DPU), University College London, and a M.Sc. in Urban Management at the Technische Universität Berlin. My current research interests are on transdisciplinary and evidenced-based research, radical interpretations of disasters (RADIX), disaster vulnerability and climate-resilient urban development, risk and disaster governance.
